You should know:

After a first using of Zoloft, you may feel depressing and possibly have thoughts about hurting yourself or suicide. Probability of this increases in case you are younger than 24. Zoloft can be used for children, with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), but is not allowed to be taken children in depression.
Do not use Zoloft at the same time as pimozide (Orap) and oxidase inhibitor (MAOI), such a selegiline (Eldepryl, Emsam), as isocarboxazid (Marplan), rasagiline (Azilect), or tranylcypromine (Parnate). If you have taken oxidase inhibitor, wait at least 14 days before start taking generic Sertraline.

Your doctor should know:
Call your doctor if you have worsening of the next symptoms:

• Anxiety or panic
• Trouble sleeping or insomnia
• Mood changes
• Irritation or aggression 
• Hyperactivity
• Thoughts about suicide

Be careful: Zoloft may cause serious problems with your baby’s lungs. So you are or potentially are pregnant, talk to your doctor before using this medicine. 

Your doctor should also know about such your problems as:

• Epilepsy or seizures
• Incidents of suicidal thoughts or drug abuse
• Kidney of liver disease
• Bipolar disorder (manic depression)

In case you have some of these problems, call the doctor to take special safety tests or a dose adjustment.

Your family or relatives should be careful about changes in your symptoms. You also should visit your doctor regularly for 12 weeks from the start taking of Zoloft.
Please do not use Zoloft without talking to your doctor if you are less than 18 years old. Zoloft can be used for children, with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), but is not allowed to be taken children in depression.
