How to use BuSpar :

Use BuSpar as directed by your doctor. Check the label on the medicine for exact dosing instructions.

• Take BuSpar by mouth. Take it consistently, either always with food or always without food.
• Avoid large amounts of grapefruit orgrapefruit juice while you are taking BuSpar . Talk with your doctor orpharmacist if you have questions about including grapefruit orgrapefruit juice in your diet while you are taking BuSpar .
• BuSpar is designed to be taken every dayto prevent anxiety symptoms. It does not work if it is only taken asneeded or only when anxiety symptoms are present.
• Continue to take BuSpar even if you feel well. Do not miss any doses.
• If you miss a dose of BuSpar , take it assoon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose skip themissed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not take 2doses at once.

Ask your health care provider any questions you may have about how to use BuSpar .

Important safety information:

• BuSpar may cause drowsiness, dizziness,blurred vision, or lightheadedness. These effects may be worse if youtake it with alcohol or certain medicines. Use BuSpar with caution. Donot drive or perform other possibly unsafe tasks until you know how youreact to it.
• Lab tests, including liver function,kidney function, and complete blood cell counts, may be performed whileyou use BuSpar . These tests may be used to monitor your condition orcheck for side effects. Be sure to keep all doctor and lab appointments.
• BuSpar should be used with extreme caution in CHILDREN younger than 6 years old; safety and effectiveness in these children have not been confirmed.
• PREGNANCY and BREAST-FEEDING: If youbecome pregnant, contact your doctor. You will need to discuss thebenefits and risks of using BuSpar while you are pregnant. It is notknown if BuSpar is found in breast milk. Do not breast-feed whiletaking BuSpar .
