How does Advair Diskus work?
It works by lessening inflammation and widening the airways in the lungs that helps to ease your breathing.
What is Advair Diskus used for?
Advair Diskus (Fluticasone/Salmeterol) is used for treatment of severe asthma and asthmatic symptoms or chronic lung diseases.
The drug doesn’t stop a sudden attack. For disappearing of certain asthma or bronchial symptoms, your doctor has to prescribe a short-acting inhaler.
How Taken
Use Advair Diskus strictly following the directions of your doctor. Before using this drug, look through the Medication Guide and follow the exact dosing instructions. Use Advair Diskus twice a day, in the morning and in the evening. The recommended dose for children aged from 4 is one inhalation twice a day. Before using Advair Diskus, pay attention to these directions:
• Use inhaler in a level, flat position.
• Hold the inhaler in one hand and put the thumb of your other hand on the thumb grip. Push your thumb away from you as far as it will go until the mouthpiece appears and snaps into position.
• Keep the inhaler away from your mouth and breathe out fully.
• Do not breathe into the inhaler. Breathe in quickly and deeply through the device.
• Clean your mouth with water after using Advair Diskus
• Do not wash any parts of inhaler
• Use Advair Diskus regularly to feel real effect.

Precautions
Before using Advair Diskus inform your doctor if:
• you are pregnant, planning to be pregnant or breast-feeding;
• you are using any other medicines, herbal preparations, diary supplement;
• you have an allergy to medicines, foods, other substances;
• you are taking a monoamine oxidase inhibitor;
• you are having a COPD flare-up;
• you have a fungal, bacterial, parasitic or a viral infection;
• you suffer from osteoporosis or you have a risk of osteoporosis;
Do not use Advair Diskus if:
• you are allergic to any of its components;
• you use another type of anti-asthma inhaler;
• you use an azole antifungal, a macrolide antibiotic, nefazodone, or telithromycin.
Advair Diskus Powder may interact with other medications. Inform your doctor if you are taking any other medicines, especially diuretics, beta-blockers, azole antifungals. This is not a complete list of interactions. Detail information you may receive at your doctor.
What side- effects may occur?
Any medicines can cause side-effects. If you feel diarrhea; dizziness; headache; mild muscle or bone pain; nausea; nervousness; throat irritation; tremor; vomiting, inform your doctor. Stop taking Advair Diskus and seek emergency medical attention if you experience a severe allergic reactions including shortness of breath; swelling of the mouth, tongue, or face; or hives.
Stop taking Advair Diskus and seek emergency medical attention if you experience a rare allergic reaction including shortness of breath; closing of your throat; swelling of your lips, tongue, or face, lips; changes in movement, vision changes; pain in chest, fast heartbeat, numbness or tingling in hands or feet; seizures; severe muscle weakness, cramps, or spasms; severe or persistent bone pain; severe or persistent dizziness or headache; signs of infection, unusual tiredness or weakness; vaginal odor or discharge; weight gain; white patches or sores on the tongue or mouth; worsening of asthma symptoms.
Overdose
If you feel overdose seek fro immediate emergency help. The overdose may cause serious consequences.
Storage
Store Advair Diskus at room temperature, between 68 and 77 degrees F (20 and 25 degrees C). Store away from direct heat, moisture, and light. Keep Advair Diskus out of the reach of children and away from pets.
